BRANCHEZ-VOUS! increased its earnings by 75 % in the first three months of 2005
Montréal, May 5, 2005 -- BRANCHEZ-VOUS! inc. (TSX Venture : BZV) has disclosed very strong financial results for the three months period ended March 31, 2005 (.Q1 2005.). Compared to the quarter ended March 31, 2004 (.Q1 2004.), revenues increased by 34 %, gross margin increased by 42 % and earnings increased by 75 %.In Q1 2005, BRANCHEZ-VOUS! had revenues of $ 430,000, compared to revenues of $ 320,000 for Q1 2004. This increase of $ 110,000 or 34 % is due to increased advertising sales.
In Q1 2005, the net income increased by $ 31,000 or 74 %, from $ 41,000 for Q1 2004 to $ 72,000 in Q1 2005. As a percentage of sales, net income increased from 13 % in Q1 2004 to 17 % in Q1 2005. The earnings per share remained essentially nil in Q1 2005 as in Q1 2004.
These results helped the Corporation strengthen its balance sheet. As at March 31, 2005, shareholder's equity was at $ 644,000 and the sum of cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments was at $ 461,000.
